These Rental Terms and Conditions set forth the policies, rules, and regulations that apply to your rental of textbooks and/or course-related materials (the "Rented Materials") from Barnes & Noble. These Terms and Conditions set forth your rights and obligations and should be read carefully. In these Terms and Conditions, "you" or "your" means any person or entity renting Rented Materials from Barnes & Noble using this online rental service (the "Service").
During your rental period, all rented materials remain the full property of Barnes & Noble. Your acceptance of the rented materials and payment of rental prices entitle you to use the property of Barnes & Noble for a limited amount of time and bind you to these Terms and Conditions. At the end of the rental period, you exit out of the Terms and Conditions and lose all rights to the rented materials. Rented Materials can include both new and used textbooks and supplemental materials. The rental fee is the same for both new and used Rented Materials. Barnes & Noble only rents books that can be reused; workbooks, study guides, laboratory manuals, periodicals, and other consumable materials are not rented. Barnes & Noble does not guarantee that access codes/keys/cards, CDs, DVDs, workbooks, charts, or any other type of supplemental material will come with rented books. If a rented book arrives with a supplement, you are allowed to use it at no extra cost. At the end of the rental, all supplemental materials must be returned with the Rented Materials.
You can purchase your Rented Materials at any time during your rental period, up until your Rental Return Date. If you choose to purchase your Rented Materials at the end of your rental period, your purchase will be a final sale. You will not receive a refund if you attempt to return Rented Materials that have been previously purchased by you.
